Puerto Vallarta’s most joyful and tail-wagging event returns Monday, May 19, as the PV Pride Pet Parade Sunset Dog Walk once again takes center stage during Vallarta Pride Week. Kicking off at 6:00 pm at Parque Lázaro Cárdenas, the celebration invites pet owners and their furry friends to show their colors, strut their stuff, and support a good cause.
This delightful event, now in its third year, offers a unique opportunity for individuals from all walks of life to unite in their appreciation for love, acceptance, and the special connection they share with their beloved animal companions.
Participants are encouraged to dress themselves and their canine companions in rainbow-themed outfits or creative costumes for a chance to win the Top Dog Contest. In addition to promising a delightful display of pet fashion, the evening also celebrates a true spirit of inclusion for all creatures – two- or four-legged. Adding to the excitement, attendees will have the chance to win fantastic raffle prizes generously donated by caring members of the community. Raffle tickets will be available for purchase at the event.
At 7:00 pm, the much-awaited sunset dog walk will commence. Participants and their furry friends will embark on a scenic stroll along the Malecón, heading towards the iconic Friendship Fountain (aka The Dolphins) near the Los Arcos amphitheater, before looping back to the starting point. The evening will conclude back at Parque Lazaro Cardenas with music and the drawing of the raffle prizes.
All donations raised will benefit Friends of Puerto Vallarta Animals. Opportunities to donate to other animal welfare organizations in the greater Puerto Vallarta area will be available, allowing attendees to contribute to the broader cause of animal well-being.
