Puerto Vallarta, Mexico – Puerto Vallarta is set to be swept away by an enchanting classical music experience as the Vallarta Symphony Orchestra presents “Summer Dream” on June 28 & 29. Under the masterful baton of Maestro Aquiles Morales, these concerts promise an unforgettable journey through some of history’s most beloved orchestral compositions.
Audiences will be transported to the romantic canals of Vivaldi’s Venice with a captivating concerto for guitar and orchestra, brought to life by the exceptional talent of guitarist Luis Alfonso García. Following this evocative performance, the orchestra will delve into the profound depths of Mozart’s passionate world with his Symphony No. 25, a work renowned for its emotional intensity and dramatic flair.
A highlight of the “Summer Dream” concert will be the homecoming of young clarinetist Julián González. A native of Puerto Vallarta who refined his musical prowess in Mexico City, González returns to grace the stage with Weber’s Clarinet Concerto No. 1. This lyrical and technically demanding piece will showcase the full expressive range of his instrument, promising a truly mesmerizing display.
The program further expands its global reach with Salim Dada’s “Miniature Algériennes,” inviting listeners to envision the distinct aromas, melodies, and hues of Algeria. The evening will culminate in a grand finale with Hans Huber’s captivating sextet, featuring five accomplished members of the orchestra alongside Maestro Morales himself on piano.
Organized by the Puerto Vallarta Institute of Musical Arts (IAMPV), these performances will take place on Saturday, June 28th, at 8:00 PM in the Haramara Auditorium of the Hotel School of the Technological University of Bahía de Banderas. A second opportunity to experience this musical delight will be on Sunday, June 29th, at 4:00 PM at the American School of Puerto Vallarta.
