Puerto Vallarta, México – The Vallarta Symphony Orchestra is preparing to transport audiences across the stars and through beloved cinematic landscapes in their upcoming concert series, titled Entre Galaxias (“Between Galaxies”). Under the expert direction of Maestro Aquiles Morales, this symphonic journey promises an expansive program that bridges the gap between classic film scores, popular television themes, and modern hits.
The performance begins with an exploration of the whimsical and moving soundtracks from Studio Ghibli, featuring compositions from Princess Mononoke and Nausicaä of the Valley of the Wind.
Transitioning from the world of animation to modern television, the orchestra will present contemporary hits from the series Bridgerton, including orchestral arrangements of songs by Billie Eilish and Beyoncé.
The program continues its diverse path by highlighting the global influence of K-pop with “Golden” by the Demon Hunters before reaching a powerful conclusion with the iconic and emotional themes of Schindler’s List and Star Wars.
Music lovers have two opportunities to experience this epic showcase in early May:
Saturday, May 2: The first performance will take place at 7:00 pm at the Auditorio Haramara, located on the campus of the Universidad Tecnológica de Bahía de Banderas in Nuevo Vallarta.
Sunday, May 3: The second performance begins at 6:00 pm at the Biblioteca de Los Mangos in Colonia Versalles.
Attending these concerts provides more than just an evening of high-quality entertainment; it directly supports the future of local arts education. Proceeds from ticket sales benefit the Institute of Musical Arts, funding vital programs such as the Flute Ensemble and the Salty Paw Jazz Orchestra. The latter, a talented student big band, has gained acclaim for its performances across the Banderas Bay area.
