Puerto Vallarta, Mexico – The Puerto Vallarta Chili Cook-Off celebrates its 10th anniversary on Saturday, February 19 at Puerto Mágico. The gates will open at 11:00 to Premium Ticket Holders, 11:30 for anyone already holding a General Admission ticket and at Noon for those wanting to purchase tickets.
A full day of food, drink and entertainment is planned. Las Mambas, Texas Embassy Blues Band and Calavera Beach will provide music. 20 restaurants and individuals will be giving out samples of their best chili recipe. Murphy’s Irish Pub will host an expanded Beer Garden featuring domestic drafts and craft beer from Los Muertos Brewing Company. Mixed drinks will be available from the Nacho Daddy Station and new this year a Wine Station by Ofelia’s Wine Bar.
If you still have an appetite after all that chili you can find Burritos Grande at the Burrico Loco Food Truck, Ribs from El Torito, Tacos al Pastor from Tacos Diaz and Mexican Seafood from Imperial Cocina and Bar. Also available will be ice cream from Helartesano, gourmet chocolates from Cacao Mágico, cupcakes from PV Cupcakes, coffee and tea from Café Shekinah and special treats from Kelly’s Messy Apron.
Raffle prizes provided by our participating restaurants will be given away throughout the day. A 50/50 drawing will add to the excitement. The Official Cook-Off Beer Glass and Souvenir T-Shirts will also be available for purchase. All the money raised at the Chili Cook-Off fund The Jay Sadler Project A.C. a Jalisco based non-profit community organization. General admission tickets are available at many for your favorite bars/restaurants including Nacho Daddy, Murphy’s, Escondida, Pour Favor, Captain Don’s, Pinocho’s, Salty Caesar, Blake’s, the Americana Sports Bar, Langostinos, and D’Z Route 66 in the Marina.
