Puerto Vallarta, Mexico – The countdown to the start of the 2023 Hot Sale has begun! According to the Mexican Association of Online Sales (AMVO), the tenth edition of Mexico’s largest online sales campaign will take place between May 29 and June 6.
With a format similar to “Cyber Monday,” the “Hot Sale” is the biggest annual online shopping event in Latin America. Offering exclusive online promotions and discounts on clothing, appliances, travel, health & beauty items, electronics, sporting goods, home furnishings and decor, auto parts & accessories and more, the Hot Sale has something for everyone!
More than 560 companies are expected to participate this year, including Puma, Adidas, Nike, Bershka, Shein, Calvin Klein, Rapsodia, Kueski, Xiaomi, Farmacias Guadalajara, Bodega Aurrerá, Costco, Chedraui, Sanborns, Sears, Mercado Libre, CyberPuerta, ClaroShop, Viva Aerobús and Aeroméxico, among many others.
“With the ‘Hot Sale’ event we are looking to bring in new users and motivate those have already bought online,” said AMVO president Blaise Pierre-Claude Blaise. “We know that people who buy on the Internet for the first time do it again because they experience the great benefits of this industry; according to the Interactive Advertising Bureau, over 50% of internet users have made some sort of online purchase, and 97% intend to do so again,” he added.
In the 2022 edition, the Hot Sale registered total sales of $23.24 million MXN, a growth of 25% compared to the previous year. The average ticket for that edition was over $1,600 pesos. In addition, 52% of Mexican Internet users said they had bought something during that Hot Sale, in which 676 companies and about 12 million people participated.
