Puerto Vallarta, Jalisco, Mexico – The Puerto Vallarta International Airport has been recognized for its excellence in tourism services, receiving three prestigious federal awards. These accolades highlight the airport’s dedication to providing exceptional experiences for travelers and contributing to the region’s economic growth.

Cryshtian Amador Lizardi, the airport’s director, emphasized the collaborative efforts to enhance tourism in the area. “At Puerto Vallarta Airport, we are committed to promoting best practices in tourism for Jalisco,” he said. “These certifications validate our dedication to improving the travel experience for our passengers.”

Vanessa Pérez Lamas, Jalisco’s Secretary of Tourism, echoed this sentiment. “These awards offer travelers assurance that our establishments and services meet the highest standards of quality,” she stated.

The airport was honored with the Moderniza Quality Standard, the National Tourism Quality Distinction in the Diamond category, and the Distinctive Quality Standard “S.”

The Moderniza Quality Standard recognizes companies that excel in profitability and customer satisfaction. The National Tourism Quality Distinction rewards tourism service providers that adhere to rigorous standards and regulations. The Distinctive Quality Standard “S” acknowledges sustainable practices aligned with global tourism guidelines.

Miguel Torruco Marqués, the Secretary of Tourism, praised the airport’s achievements. “These awards reflect the hard work, dedication, and professionalism of the airport’s team,” he said. He highlighted the significance of the Diamond category, the highest level of recognition, demonstrating the airport’s commitment to excellence.
