Paris, France – On behalf of World Olympians past and present, Suzy Chaffee, U.S. Olympic skier at Grenoble, now IOC Climate Action Award nominee, staged an Opposite of a Protest Ceremony next to Macron’s Palace. Dressed in her honorary Aztec regalia, she sent thanks to him, Brigitte and the World Teamwork that inspired the “crazy love” at the Paris Olympics. It brought a “Politics of Joy” to democracies, so they can enact urgent Climate ACTION “for the People.”
The US Olympic and Paralympic Committee endorsed Chaffee for the IOC Climate Action Award for her FREE way to fulfill the UN’s two key ways of healing Mother Earth: Green Tech and Indigenous Snowdances, which have prevented droughts and massive wildfires for eons. They already saved three Olympics in the U.S. and Canada, two of which Chaffee orchestrated.
As a bridge between our cultures for 28 years, she explained why they work. “The U.N. in 2009 declared Mother Earth is a living being and we are all interconnected” (Sec Gen Ban ki-moon). So the joyful teamwork rippling out of Paris is healing Her heart and restoring Her body and climate.
Chaffee connected the dots that “Equal Pay would boost World economies $28 Trillion,” so they can finally afford to be Renewable-powered, like 95% Norway, thanks their near equal pay. (See McKinsey: Women Equality to Boost World GDP by $28 Trillion. TIME.) It will also pay for the Snowdance solution.
So far these are the only two ways to restore snow for the Olympics in Italy 2026 and Utah 2034, and highest risk oceans at LA 2028. Chaffee came to Paris to help get “Faster, Higher and Stronger ACTION” after World Olympians, led by U.S. Ski Goat Mikaela Shiffrin, screamed for leaders to Act “using another approach.”
Suzy failed too, so she donned her Aztec headdress and gave gratitude in advance for “sacred press messengers” getting her two Olympic solutions to Macron and World leaders. She believes that his Paris Accord integrity is the best hope that leaders listen to Olympians. Greta, King Charles, Pope Francis and the UN already say, “Listen to the Indigenous.”
They’ve seen how equal pay Iceland and the Scandinavian countries are mainly Renewable powered, and along with their Sami ceremonies, is why Northern Europe has snow, whereas Southern Europe is 35% renewable, without snowdances, is why their on-going wildfires and racers and skiers are limited to fake hard snow there and in China for over two years.
More importantly farmers and people need water. CNN showed France had food security challenges. In 2008, Stanford’s-Aspen SkiCo’s Nobel Prize winner, Dr Stephen Schneider and U.N. partnered with Suzy’s now Native American Climate Action Foundation. He “praised ski areas and tribes for the record snows and urged ski areas globally to invite Native youth to ski and snowboard, which inspires the Elders to lead the snowdances. (See Nobel Prize Winner Dr. Stephen Schneider Hails Tribal Snow …dances – Calwire.)
Elders say “It prevents the suicides and addictions the most from abuses in government boarding schools, so they can reach for the sky,” resulting in two Olympic Hopefuls becoming an MD and MBA. Yet Covid dried up most these programs when direly needed.
This plan solves that since hydrologists say “only years of deep snowpack in the mountains can end decades of droughts,” and snowdances inspire ideal snows across the mountain ranges for fire prevention. Critical since Canada found in 2021 that “wildfires heated British Columbia 2-3X more than fossil fuels.“
Yet Canada was the “only country praised by the UN in 2021 for having the least fires in the Arctic, so Prime Minister Trudeau wisely shifted 15 million more acres to Indigenous management: ”Snow-dances inspired by Native XC programs and controlled burns – a world model!” Yet wildfires and Code Reds continue in lower Canada and U.S. because the Forest Services have not yet funded restoring the Native skiing-snowdances solution to end droughts that cause wildfires.
All why Dr Schneider said “this solution would be foolish to ignore since it costs almost nothing.” World ski areas wanting to host a handful (up to 30) indigenous youth” and a snowdance for at least ONE day, they called “fantastic,” could do so to cool the escalating highest temperatures now before another fire season that burns forests and melts our last snow. Once it’s gone, we can’t get it back given solar flares heating the planet.
The US and Canada have the most fires because they are only 20% Renewable. Chaffee says “The Grenoble Olympics opened the door to working with 5 U.S. Presidents or VPs,” yet she mourns that “We are still No 2 polluters/heaters, and 52nd in equal pay (IMF), so we need Europeans to light the way.”
VP Kamala Harris strongly pushed for equal pay, (through ERA to also restore bodily rights) which would boost the economy $4.3 Trillion to afford to be renewable powered. Feedback by E.U. leaders could help her and Coach Walz inspire women and youth to win again in November by a needed landslide, critical to saving our Olympics and children’s future.
French women said, “We need to bring the best of our countries together and they loved Kamala’s equal pay enforcement solution to solve our climate threat: “Posting the job online and fining companies 1% of last year’s profits for every 1% they lower pay their women.”
Emmanuel Macron could simply urge fellow leaders to give women fair equal pay, like France and 11 other countries, which is critical for funding the Native ski-snowdance solution too. Researching Tinker Bell, Walt Disney, the ‘King of Fun’, pioneered Native (Washoe) Elders leading folks at ski areas in snowdances that saved Tahoe CA’s snowless 1960 Olympics, with 11 feet of snow the next morning. (TIME cover)
In 1995, after Suzy taught Rollingbears, a beloved local Lakota, to ski with a comp ticket from Telluride SkiCo, he was inspired to lead a snowdance that saved their snowless Christmas. Witnessing three more snow and rain miracles (that also saved Kansas farmers), Suzy believed Mother Earth really listens.
Learning all this, her Grenoble teammates helped seed her foundation with the Utes and Rabbi Michel Saftler, along with Olympic icons Bill Bradley, Phil Jackson, Franz Klammer and Weber. It snowballed to ski areas across U.S. and Canada hosting 20,000 youth and snowdances ending droughts.
At the request of SLOC, Chaffee happily organized the snowdance that restored snow for the 2002 Utah Olympics mid-ceremony, and then the 2010 Vancouver Olympics. She also collected the only world data: 50 Snowdance Miracles in Press – 45 of which she orchestrated.
Here’s how Olympic Heroes can help Macron get his Paris Accord countries to finally achieve their 1.5 C goals for FREE. During a fun day skiing with President Ford, Chaffee helped secure U.S. Athletes Rights. Then skiing with Senator Ted Kennedy, she finally got “Title IX’s Equal Opportunity for Women in school sports and (job) Education” enforced, not to mention the march and White House meeting she also led. It “boosted the workforce 30% and economy $3 Trillion since then.” (McKinsey)
Thanks to a flock of male “Goats” now behind our women greats like Simone Biles, and honoring their single moms, this plan can happen globally. So, through Olympic Athletes Advisory Committees (to NOCs) that Chaffee pioneered as the first woman on the USOC board in the 70s, Macron has access to Sports Heroes of country’s “Deciders.”
ERA’s Equal Right Amendment just needs a few votes to be enshrined into U.S.’s Constitution. Chaffee can also help set up these sports days with heart to heart talks on how they can heroically save the Olympics France brought back, and win this Human Race.
One of the foundation’s amazing board members, Canada’s Wilton Littlechild, said sports saved his life from those boarding school abuses and empowered him to become a lawyer, win their healing settlement, and go on to fund the North American Indigenous Games. Partnered with the UN, he then founded the World Indigenous Games, which is why he was nominated for a Nobel Prize. He presented this Native Ski-Snowdance plan to those leaders at Paris, so there’s a tribal network to cool the planet.
Native American Elders are happy to help ski areas revive these traditional snowdances in Europe, thanks also to Royalty and leaders hosting dancers, including 2 French Presidents and our Colorado Ute dancer-skiers. Germany has 1,000 Native American Clubs. Utah’s touching Native Opening gave NBC their highest ratings up until then.
The Aztecs in Mexico’s Puerto Vallarta join in solidarity with Chaffee’s annual emergency “Earth Hug” ceremonies since the hell fires north of the border have heated the oceans, destroying half their coral fish nurseries. They’re led by the most gifted Native Elders united with Multi-faith Earth healers. Scientists said if the oceans go, so goes the planet. On the flight home, Suzy saw “Aquaman,” and hopes Polynesian ocean savior Jason Momao, might join this Olympic effort with other green stars.
50 million BBC Radio listeners loved Suzy’s two solutions, as well as two million “High Heels and Politics” podcast listeners. This follows FDR’s secret to helping Allies win WWll: Equal pay with childcare, so moms like “Rosie the Riveters” could build the high precision armaments, plus Prayer Power. He asked all Americans to pray on the Eve of D Day that liberated France. (History Channel)
Elders say the Snow and Raindances work by giving thanks to Mother Earth for Her gifts. And like most women, She is even more generous when given loving gratitude for them, or in advance when snow is direly needed like in China and Europe now. That’s why Chaffee was also giving gratitude next to Venus, the Goddess of Love, for Mother Earth’s tears of Joy during the Olympics that helped farmers. More science of why this works thanks to Japan’s Dr Emoto and Climatologists in the “50 Miracles.”
UN’s Sustainability office Marie Mercedes Sanchez urged Suzy to “spread this Snowdance Phenomena story worldwide to wake up communities to live in more harmony with Nature,” as it did both. Making amends also inspires good snow karma without a ceremony, found California’s Mammoth, which has the most snow thanks to pioneering Native skiing in the 50s, and Olympic dreams for us women too.
When Chief Littlechild invited Pope Francis to do his 2022 Apology Tour to Canada’s First Nations, he asked the Chief and Chaffee what else he could do to make amends. What gave them hope was the pope joining Elders ceremonies in three Provinces to also heal Mother Earth – a first in 2,000 years!
The Super-sportsmanship and Joy at Paris was also thanks to Olympic icons Jack Kelly (Prince Albert’s uncle), Muhammad Ali, Germany’s IOC VP Willi Daume, and Donna DeVarona (who nominated Suzy for IOC’s award with Olympic Alumni President John Naber). With their backing she united World Olympians and ended “Slavery Brundage’s” (NYT) “Amateur Lie.”
Bradley and Chaffee found the Ancient Rules were “Open, Honest, and Equal, creating their “1,000 year Golden Age of Greece.” They ancients also SHARED the bounty with the Olympians. A NASA study found that if “we’re to avoid Rome’s fate today, we’ll need policies to reduce economic inequality/sharing and preserve natural resources.” (Here’s How NASA Thinks Society Will Collapse BBC.) Suzy’s solutions solve that.
To level the playing fields in the 70s, Chaffee wrote the rule “allowing athletes in commercials and ads individually as long as a portion goes to helping other athletes.” This helped fund millions more Olympic dreamers. It also gave today’s Olympic heroes the financial and press power to apply the Olympic principles of Truth, Sportsmanship, Teamwork, Fairness and Positivity to happily help leaders restore Mother Earth’s magnificent playgrounds for generations.
Suzy’s gifted chief advisor, Olivia Ellis PhD (Czech-Cherokee) explained that “weather is a reflection of our thoughts, feelings and actions. Blessings on all those who helped make this Paris healing of Mother Earth’s heart and Climate possible, as well as everyone who joins our Earth Hug Team by spreading the word on social media and forwarding this to the press and leaders as if your life depends on it. It does. Then WE can ensure these two FREE Climate solutions can usher in our Golden Age.”
