Puerto Vallarta Welcomes 22 Cruise Ship Arrivals in December

Puerto Vallarta’s maritime terminal is set for a bustling close to 2024, with 22 international cruise ship arrivals on the calendar. This marks a significant rise from last December’s 13 arrivals, attributed to the temporary absence of the Carnival Panorama.

This December’s arrivals will also feature a state vessel from another country and a mega yacht, showcasing the city’s growing appeal as a global cruise destination, according to the National Port System Administration (Asipona) in Puerto Vallarta.

Highlights of the month include seven double arrivals, a triple arrival, and a unique double overnight stay, with three ships sharing the docks on one day.

The season kicks off on Wednesday, December 4, with a double arrival of the Discovery Princess and the Majestic Princess, followed by the Koningsdam on Saturday, December 7. Mid-month, activity intensifies with arrivals like the Norwegian Bliss and Carnival Panorama on December 9.

On the 22nd, there will be another busy day, with the arrival of the Coral Princess and the MS The World. Known as “the millionaires’ cruise ship,” this private residential yacht carries 200 affluent owners in super-luxury apartments, offering extended port stays and a unique travel experience. The ship will remain in Puerto Vallarta for two nights before departing on Christmas Eve.

The holiday season will be especially busy, with a double arrival on December 24 featuring the Carnival Panorama, and Navigator of the Seas, which will join the MS The World before its departure at 5 pm. December 25 will see another double arrival, and the year will end on a high note with a double arrival on New Year’s Eve. Passengers aboard the Carnival Panorama, which departs at 10 pm, will enjoy a special celebration, ringing in 2025 at sea.

With such a robust schedule, Puerto Vallarta continues to shine as a premier destination for international cruises, offering unforgettable experiences for travelers from around the globe.
