Renace la Magia Lights Up La Lija for the Holiday Season

Puerto Vallarta, Mexico – The holiday season in Puerto Vallarta reached a bright milestone this week as the Renace la Magia (“Magic Reborn”) Christmas Fair officially opened its doors at the La Lija Cultural and Sports Center. On the evening of December 16, hundreds of local residents gathered to celebrate the inauguration of a festive village designed to bring the spirit of the season directly into the heart of the city’s neighborhoods.

The festivities began with a sense of anticipation as families from across El Pitillal explored the new community hub. Organized by the municipal government under the administration of Mayor Luis Munguía, the event serves as a dedicated space for recreation and holiday cheer.

Luis Alberto Fuentes Flores, the Chief Officer of the Registry and Licensing Department and a key organizer of the fair, shared that the village will offer a wide array of attractions through January 6, including amusement rides, live music, and special gifts for children.

This focus on community accessibility was a central theme of the opening remarks. Representing the mayor, Construction and Community Manager Ramón Chávez Lara explained that bringing such large-scale celebrations to local neighborhoods is a priority for the current administration. By placing the fair at La Lija, the government aims to ensure that every family has the opportunity to participate in holiday traditions without having to travel far from home.

The evening culminated in a collective countdown that drew every eye to the center of the square. As the final numbers were shouted, the massive Christmas tree was illuminated, casting a warm glow over the cheering crowd.

This display of light signaled more than just the start of a fair; it marked the beginning of three weeks dedicated to unity and joy for the families of Puerto Vallarta.
