Puerto Vallarta, Jalisco, Mexico – From April 15 to 22, Puerto Vallarta will host Puerto Vallarta Art Week 2026, a citywide celebration of creativity organized by the Vallarta Institute of Culture within the framework of World Art Day.
During this special week, artists, galleries, and cultural spaces throughout the city will open their doors to share their work and connect with the community. The initiative promotes the concept of “art in motion,” encouraging residents and visitors to explore different neighborhoods while discovering contemporary and local artistic talent.
The celebration will begin on April 15 at 7:00 pm with an opening event along the Puerto Vallarta Malecón, stretching from the start of the boardwalk to the Velarias (sails). The opening will feature the Puerto Vallarta Public Gallery, an exhibition designed to transform the popular waterfront into a living museum where art can be enjoyed in an open-air setting.
Puerto Vallarta Art Week 2026 is designed to promote cultural tourism and showcase the creativity of local and national artists. Throughout the week, visitors can expect gallery openings, guided tours, and special exhibitions created to engage audiences of all ages. The event also encourages collaboration among artists and cultural institutions, strengthening the city’s growing reputation as a destination for art and culture.
