Nuevo Vallarta, Mexico – The good news keeps on coming for the Banderas Bay region. A new Vacation Express by Sunwing charter flight – operated by Viva Aerobus – is set to connect Kansas City, Missouri with Puerto Vallarta-Riviera Nayarit this winter. This flight is a direct result of the intense promotional efforts by the destinations within the United States.
The direct flight will operate in two stages: once a week on Sundays from February 16 to March 15 and from May 24 through August 2, 2020, covering part of next year’s winter and summer seasons. The company will offer six-night vacation packages.
According to information provided by Vacation Express, the new route will operate with a 180-seat A-320 plane, which translates into approximately 2,500 new seats for the region.
“The continual promotion by the Riviera Nayarit CVB has generated a lot of interest among travelers in the Midwest who want to visit or are ready to return to the destination, knowing that it’s safe, close-by, and very beautiful,” said Marc Murphy, managing director of the Riviera Nayarit CVB and the Bahía de Banderas Hotel and Motel Association.
Kansas City is the 14th destination of origin for passengers to the Lic. Gustavo Díaz Ordaz International Airport (serving both Puerto Vallarta and the Riviera Nayarit); it currently connects through Dallas, Houston, or Denver.
This new connection is proof positive of the North American market’s trust and preference in the region, thanks to its hospitality, luxury, and natural attractions, not to mention the excellent quality of its tourist services.
Passengers can purchase their tickets via the Viva Aerobus website. For more information on Sunwing charter flights, please visit vacationexpress.com for flights from the US, or sunwing.ca for flights from Canada.
