AMResorts Opening in Riviera Nayarit

Nuevo Vallarta, Mexico – The Riviera Nayarit is celebrating two new luxury hotel properties: the 278-room Secrets Bahia Mita Surf & Spa Resort and the 363-room Dreams Bahia Mita Surf & Spa Resort, part of the AMResorts chain of the Apple Leisure Group conglomerate.

Both hotels are on one of the most beautiful beaches in the exclusive area of Punta de Mita; their opening is scheduled for August 1, 2021, adding 641 rooms to the tourist offer of this vacation destination.

Eduardo Pinto, Sales Director of AMResorts, said Sordo Madaleno, one of the most famous Mexican architects in Mexico, developed the concept for the project. It has a modern, avant-garde design, minimalist lines, and impressive dimensions that required an investment of more than US$150 million.

Given the health crisis caused by the Covid-19 pandemic, the opening will occur in phases, following the hotel chain’s own health safety protocols and those established by regional and national authorities.

“Mirror” properties with two different concepts

On the other side, Secrets Bahia Mita Surf & Spa Resort is exclusively for adults over 18 years of age

The properties were built as mirror images. On one side, Dreams Bahia Mita Surf & Spa Resort, a family hotel, is focused on surfing. As its name suggests, it is on one of the best surfing beaches: Punta del Burro, famous for hosting important surfing tournaments.

On the other side, the Secrets Bahia Mita Surf & Spa Resort, exclusively for adults over 18 years of age, is its reflection. Although it features surfing “in its DNA,” its primary focus will be on Romance, including weddings and honeymoons.

“The combination of the two hotels, one for families and the other for adults, is trendy because those who come here to celebrate a wedding can rent rooms in both hotels. We also have a chapel, spa with bridal salons, and eight different venues, from mountains, beach, and gardens, to terraces and a spectacular spa, and brides love that,” said Pinto.
