A Powerful Female Lineup Comes Together for What A Drag

Puerto Vallarta, Mexico – In a remarkable display of unity and support, some of Banderas Bay’s most beloved singers are set to join forces for a special event; What A Drag. Scheduled for one unforgettable night, attendees can expect an evening filled with music, glamour, humor, and heartfelt generosity as they rally behind families affected by domestic violence.

The event promises an exceptional lineup featuring both established performers and courageous participants. Notably, straight men will take center stage, transforming into mesmerizing drag personas in a spirited competition for the coveted title of “Miss What A Drag.”

Emceed by the charismatic Amy Armstrong, renowned as “La Diva Loca” and a fixture at Nacho Daddy performing Wednesdays and Saturdays, the event guarantees a blend of comedy and music that Armstrong has masterfully delivered for over two decades in Puerto Vallarta. Amy will also perform a signature number.

Among the other stellar performers is Brenda Gavino, whose journey from Guadalajara to the Vallarta stage has captivated audiences for years. Known for her versatility, Gavino’s performances, from classical opera to jazz and metal, have garnered widespread acclaim, particularly her celebrated current cabaret shows including “Canciones de Mi Padre” on March 14 and “Linda Ronstadt: Unplugged” every Thursday at Act2PV.

Likewise, Kim Kuzma, Vallarta’s cherished Diva of Song, has toured Europe, the United States, Canada, and Mexico, brings her music and special brand of humor and stage presence wherever she goes. You can catch Kim’s new show – “Divas & Debauchery” Dinner Show with Kim Kuzma & Kevin Anthony on March 1, 15, and 19 at Coco’s Kitchen.

Also gracing the stage will be Gloria Fiona, a singer from Italy who has found a home in Puerto Vallarta, enchanting audiences with her ethereal voice. Recognized as a finalist in The Voice of Vallarta in 2016, Fiona’s dedication to live music has become her hallmark, with her upcoming tribute to Adele slated to enchant audiences on March 7th & 9th at The Palm Cabaret.

Rounding out the lineup is Allison Lo, whose journey from the Viper Room in LA to the shores of Puerto Vallarta has solidified her status as a new sensation in the local music scene.

More than just a celebration of diversity and inclusivity, “What A Drag” serves as a vital fundraising platform for the Casa Esperanza Women’s Shelter. All proceeds from the event will support this noble cause, offering assistance and refuge to women and children affected by domestic violence.
