Puerto Vallarta, México – As January draws to a close, the lively atmosphere of the Zona Romántica finds its heartbeat at Nacho Daddy. This beloved Puerto Vallarta restaurant continues to serve as a gathering place for locals and travelers alike, offering a blend of world-class entertainment and a welcoming social environment.
The weekend kicks off with the rhythmic pulse of the Texas Embassy Blues Band every Friday night. Led by the charismatic Sean Moore, the ensemble fills the upstairs room with soulful tributes to legends like Ray Charles and Joe Cocker. Starting at 8:30 pm, the no-cover performance creates an inviting space where the energy of the music quickly brings the audience to their feet.
The momentum carries into Saturday with a shift toward theatrical flair. At 7:30 pm, the production She. He. Him! takes the stage, featuring the powerhouse vocals of Amy Armstrong alongside the comedic timing of Sargento Dan. Under the musical direction of Mark Hartman, the show bridges the gap between Broadway classics and modern pop, connecting generations through polished vocals and sharp humor.
Sunday, February 1, introduces a more contemplative and stirring experience as the venue transforms for an afternoon of Fado. At 5:00 pm, Alejandra Matus and the Tromba Vetusta collective invite guests into the emotional world of Portuguese folk music. This intimate, candlelit concert focuses on the “music of the soul,” telling stories of destiny and longing through the delicate sounds of the violin, guitar, and accordion. It is a rare opportunity to experience the raw vulnerability of a genre made famous by icons like Amália Rodrigues.

Once the final notes of Fado fade, the energy shifts back to high gear at 8:00 pm with the debut of Big Shot. This tribute to Billy Joel features the combined talents of Amy Armstrong and pianist Mark Hartman. Rather than a simple imitation, the show is an honest celebration of the Piano Man’s greatest hits, designed to spark sing-alongs and shared memories throughout the room.
The arrival of February brings even more variety to the schedule, starting with Gouda Gabor’s new weekly cabaret, Charcuterie BROAD. Each performance promises fresh material and surprise guests, maintaining a tradition of classic showmanship. Gabor also hosts the popular Come Blow Your Horn open mic every Tuesday, where seasoned professionals and hidden talents share the spotlight in a spontaneous, no-cover showcase.
Midweek activities at Nacho Daddy also serve the community, as Wednesday afternoons are dedicated to Charity Bingo. Beginning at 4:00 pm, players can win prizes while supporting essential local organizations, including the Colina Spay and Neuter Clinic and the PuRR Project.
The evening then transitions into Funk It, a high-energy set where Amy Armstrong is joined by guitarist Mimi Al Ramirez and violinist Eugenia Prieto for an unforgettable night of fun, laughter and funk-infused melodies.
While the stage remains a primary draw, the venue’s reputation is further bolstered by its signature Mex-Tex menu and deep dedication to sports. With multiple high-definition screens broadcasting international football and NFL games, the space offers a relaxed environment to enjoy a meal and catch the score.
Whether visiting for the powerful vocals of a headliner or the community spirit of a bingo game, Nacho Daddy remains a cornerstone of the Puerto Vallarta social scene.
