Puerto Vallarta, México – U.S. citizens living in the Banderas Bay region will have several opportunities to stay informed and connected this April, as the Costa Banderas Chapter of Democrats Abroad Mexico hosts a series of activities focused on voter participation and community engagement.
Throughout the month, the chapter will operate its Vote From Abroad Center, offering personalized assistance to U.S. citizens who need help registering to vote or requesting absentee ballots for upcoming elections. These sessions are designed to make the voting process from abroad easier and more accessible.
“Get Out the Vote” assistance events will be held on alternating days at two locations. In Puerto Vallarta, support sessions are scheduled for Thursday, April 9 and Thursday, April 23, from 11:00 am to 1:30 pm at Lázaro Cárdenas 461, between Najaro and Jacarandas streets. Additional sessions will take place in Bucerías on Wednesday, April 1, April 15, and April 29, from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm at Restaurante Miguel Ángel at Bucerías Plaza.
In addition to voter services, the chapter will host its monthly Coffee Time gathering on Tuesday, April 7, from 9-11 am at Langostinos on Playa de los Muertos. Open to both residents and visitors, this casual meet-up offers a welcoming space to share information, network, and meet fellow U.S. citizens. While advance RSVPs are encouraged, walk-ins are welcome.
Later in the month, a social evening is planned for Thursday, April 23, from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm at Tuk Tuk Un Sabor de Asia in Versalles. Guests can enjoy Asian cuisine and happy hour specials while connecting with other U.S. citizens and learning about important voting deadlines and chapter updates in a relaxed setting. The gathering also provides a welcoming opportunity for newcomers to meet neighbors and for longtime residents to reconnect. Please RSVP if you can make it.
