Puerto Vallarta, Jalisco, México – Art lovers have two chances this month to experience creativity in action during Meet the Artists Night at Galleria Dante. The special evenings take place March 6 and March 20 from 6 to 9 pm as part of the popular South Side Shuffle in Puerto Vallarta’s Romantic Zone.
Guests are invited to stroll through the gallery, meet many of the artists it represents, and watch as new works take shape before their eyes. Throughout the evening, painters including Jean Jacques Hudon, Ricardo Sanchez and Rome de la Cruz will be creating pieces live, while sculptor Gustavo Lopez demonstrates his craft. Visitors can talk with the artists, learn about their techniques, and enjoy the creative energy that fills the gallery during these lively gatherings.
The event also showcases new works from artists such as Yvan Genest, Mo, Tom Dickson, Luis Valui and Donna Dickson. Several other artists are expected to attend, including Julia Swann, Richard Gibbons, Louie Pisterzi, Marcia Coppel, Cherie Sibley, Bill Megrail, Ana Tatya Neri, Gerald Gallant, Luc Gauthier and Munroe.
For more than three decades, Galleria Dante has been a cornerstone of the local art scene. Located in the heart of the Romantic Zone, it represents more than 60 artists and offers one of the city’s most diverse collections of contemporary and traditional works. The family-run gallery continues to welcome visitors from around the world who come to discover new pieces and connect with the artists behind them.
Visitors who want to extend their evening can head upstairs to Di Vino Dante, the gallery’s second-floor wine and tapas restaurant. Open daily from 1 to 10 pm, the restaurant offers an extensive tapas menu for lunch and dinner, along with happy hour specials on select cocktails from 1 to 5 pm. Guests can also enjoy a relaxing walk through the sculpture garden while sampling wine and small plates.
The third level of the building is home to the newly reimagined Pizza Joe 2.0. The rooftop venue celebrates the legacy of Joe, whose influence remains a cherished part of the gallery’s story. The outdoor dining space serves many original pizza favorites, with plans to introduce new menu items and specials in the near future. Guests can also enjoy classic black-and-white silent films accompanied by music while dining under the evening sky.
Meet the Artists Night offers a perfect opportunity to explore art, meet creators, and enjoy a memorable evening during the South Side Shuffle. Galleria Dante welcomes visitors from 1 to 10 pm daily, making it easy to spend an afternoon or evening discovering art, food and conversation in one of Puerto Vallarta’s most beloved cultural spaces.
