Puerto Vallarta, Mexico – Daniel Celis and his band Monaco present a phenomenal show performing the best songs from Fleetwood Mac and The Eagles. This is a trip down rock n’ roll’s memory lane. Monaco is Daniel Celis’ newly formed band including some of the best musicians in the bay with Daniel along with Gina Ibarra in lead vocals.
Monaco – Fleetwood Mac & the Eagles is performed each Sunday at 6:00 pm at The Palm Cabaret with a 5 piece band and fabulous lead vocals and harmonizing that measure up to the original artists. Get your tickets early because this show is top-rated entertainment.
The show opens with videos and songs from Fleetwood Mac with an emphasis on the music from their famed Rumors album. Released in 1977, Rumours was critically acclaimed and won the Grammy Award for Album of the Year in 1977. The album generated four Top Ten singles: Buckingham’s “Go Your Own Way”, Nicks’ US No. 1 “Dreams”, and Christine McVie’s “Don’t Stop” and “You Make Loving Fun”. Buckingham’s “Second Hand News”, Nicks’ “Gold Dust Woman”, and “The Chain” also received significant radio air play. By 2003 Rumours had sold a total of 40 million copies worldwide, bringing it to eighth on the list of best-selling albums. Fleetwood Mac supported the album with lucrative tours and the music is still popular to this day!
Daniel and Gina, along with their very accomplished hot band, served up some mighty delicious Fleetwood Mac tunes to a grateful audience of rock n’ roll lovers! Closing my eyes several times, it felt like we were hearing the real Stevie Nicks and Lindsey Buckingham performing these tunes. We also heard other famous Fleetwood Mac classics like “Landslide”, “Sweet Little Lies” and many more! Monaco did a fantastic job communicating this treasured music.
The second half of the show covered the music of the Eagles who are an American rock band formed in Los Angeles in 1971. With five number-one singles and six number-one albums, six Grammy Awards and five American Music Awards, the Eagles were one of the most successful musical acts of the 1970s in North America. Founding members Glenn Frey (guitars, vocals), Don Henley (drums, vocals), Bernie Leadon (guitars, vocals), and Randy Meisner (bass guitar, vocals) were recruited by Linda Ronstadt as band members, some touring with her, and all playing on her third solo album, before venturing out on their own on David Geffen’s new Asylum Records label.
Their Greatest Hits (1971–1975) (1976) is the best-selling album in the United States, with 38 million copies sold, and primed the public for the late 1976 release of Hotel California, which would sell more than 26 million copies in the US (ranking third all-time for US sales), and more than 32 million copies worldwide.
Monaco delivered these Eagles’ classics, with fantastic vocals, gorgeous harmonizing, spectacular drumming and thrilling guitar riffs and pedal-to-the-metal playing! We heard songs like Life in the Fast Lane, Lyin’ Eyes, Desperado, New Kid in Town, Take it Easy, Heartache Tonight and many other Eagle’s hits.
Special thanks to all the band members for making this special night of music something truly spectacular for their audience. (Fernando Ibarra (keyboard), Daniel Morales (bass), Sergio Aceval (drums ), Serge Camache (lead guitar), Daniel Celis (guitar and vocals) and Gina Ibarra (vocals).
Monaco will be debuting their Abba Tribute in January, so don’t miss this show! You only have a few weeks left to see their Fleetwood Mac/Eagles Tribute, so make sure to put it on your calendar.
