New Year, New Eats at Bravos Restaurant in Puerto Vallarta

Puerto Vallarta, Mexico – Change is good for the soul – and the restaurant menu. The team at Bravos in Puerto Vallarta, Jalisco, Mexico is embracing the essence of comfort food… where you take a big bite and everything is going to be alright. Loosen your belt and your inhibitions for their latest offerings.

They are showcasing an Italian classic with their House Made and Baked Italian Meatballs with Tomato Basil Sauce topped with Whipped Ricotta. The perfectly cooked meatball’s texture is smooth, light and bouncy. The fat content makes them juicy and the crust developed on the exterior enhances the flavor. The Italian tradition is to finish cooking the meatball in sauce. Definitely craveable.

Not to be outdone, there’s a new Mexican classic, Arrachera. It’s Grilled Flank Steak with Sautéed Onions, Mushrooms & Bell Peppers. The cut of beef has a big, satisfying flavor with lots of intramuscular fat. Remember no fat, no flavor. The marinade makes it even better and it’s grilled to perfection over our wood fired open flame. The smokiness is sublime.

Moving to the other side of the globe, Japan, they are unveiling Spicy Stir-Fried Udon Noodles with Carrots, Red & Green Onions, Mushrooms, Bell Peppers, Garlic & Chili Oyster Sauce. The sauce clings to the thick, white, chewy, ribbon-like noodles. In Japan it is perfectly acceptable to slurp the noodles, which enhances the flavors and helps cool down the hot noodles as they enter your mouth, adding to the enjoyment of the Udon experience.

This new medley of flavors will dance on your tongue. Grilled Salmon with Tuscany Sun Dried Tomatoes, Spinach, Mushrooms & a Garlic Parmesan Cream Sauce. The fish is grilled just long enough to retain its rich flavor and highlight its natural buttery citrus notes. The toppings are bursting with distinct flavors but meld really well together.

Next up is the pure indulgence of the BBQ Pulled Pork Mac-N-Cheese. The velvety texture is a mix of cheddars that hugs the pasta. It’s sharp, salty, rich and creamy. Think of it as tangy béchamel sauce. A generous scoop of finely shredded pork is placed on top then popped under the broiler. The dish has a sprinkling of cheese so it forms a crunchy crust. This is way beyond the box.

One of the grand daddies of comfort food rounds out the newbie list, Chicken Fried Steak. The tenderized beef is pounded into a patty, coated with seasoned Panko bread crumbs, fried and topped with black pepper gravy. The golden brown, crispy crusted steak bathed in smooth, creamy gravy is pure bliss. It has a distinct taste and texture and can render you speechless.

These new menu items will evoke emotions and awaken your taste buds. The kitchen team deserves acclaim for their combinations of creativity and authenticity.
