Puerto Vallarta, Jalisco, Mexico – Although July is one of Puerto Vallarta’s quieter months for cruise tourism, the city is still set to welcome thousands of visitors whose arrivals will provide a valuable boost to local businesses.
According to the local National Port System Administration (Asipona), four cruise ship calls are scheduled during the month, mirroring June’s itinerary. Two double-ship days are planned for Tuesdays, July 7 and July 21, when the Carnival Panorama and Navigator of the Seas will dock in the city’s port.

Together, the two vessels typically bring nearly 11,500 passengers and crew on each visit, creating opportunities for tour operators, transportation providers, restaurants, shops, and other businesses that serve cruise travelers.
While cruise activity slows during the summer months, Puerto Vallarta remains an important destination along the Mexican Pacific. From summer through October, many cruise lines temporarily relocate their ships to seasonal routes in Alaska and throughout Central and South America, resulting in fewer calls along the Mexican Riviera.
Even with the lighter schedule, each ship arrival delivers meaningful economic benefits as visitors explore the city’s beaches, attractions, dining scene, and local businesses during their stay.
Tourism officials and the local hospitality industry are already looking ahead to October, when the traditional high season begins and cruise traffic is expected to increase once again.
The July schedule highlights Puerto Vallarta’s continued popularity as a favorite port of call, with local tourism providers ready to offer memorable experiences to every visitor who steps ashore.
