After a two month pause on Volunteer Gardening and live Membership Meetings, we are going to carefully venture out and resume more normal activities this month. Covid is still here, so we ask those who participate to wear their masks and be fully vaccinated.
Membership Meeting and Presentation on February 15 at 3:30 at Incanto
We are delighted to again have Kevin Simpson, owner of Colektika Gallery and Peyote People. He has amazing insights and photos of Indigenous people and rituals. This will stream live via Incanto’s Facebook page and there is seating for a number of masked garden lovers in the Piano Bar area where we broadcast. And you won’t be disappointed if you come thirsty.
Volunteer Gardening Restarts on February 17 at 9 am
Meet in front of Ley’s Grocery Store on Avenida Mexico, downtown. Wear a mask and gloves and bring your clippers. We will work for an hour trimming bougainvillea and underplanting. The Club will supply garbage bags, band aids and loppers.
Black, White and Bling Gala on March 15 at 6 pm at Oscar’s
This is our major annual fundraising event that covers almost half of our Club expenses. It is a fabulous dress up for fun event that starts with a cocktail party and silent auction on the lawn. Then we enjoy an amazing dinner followed by dancing under the stars. We pushed the date back due to Covid concerns in early January.
