Vallarta Symphony Orchestra Announces 2024-2025 Concerts & Events

Puerto Vallarta, Mexico – The Vallarta Symphony Orchestra (OSV) is gearing up for an unforgettable concert season, promising an exciting mix of classical masterpieces, fun-filled fundraisers, and inspiring opportunities to support young musicians in Puerto Vallarta.

A Season of Opera Magic
Kicking off the season, OSV will transport audiences into the dramatic world of opera with concerts on November 3 at the American School and November 4 at Salon Paraiso. Expect powerful performances featuring iconic works by Giuseppe Verdi, Giacomo Puccini, and George Bizet. One highlight: a stirring rendition of the “Humming Chorus” from Puccini’s Madame Butterfly, a poignant tale of love and loss that has captured hearts since its premiere in 1904.

The season continues with more spectacular concerts on December 15 and 16, 2024, February 23 and 24, 2025, and April 6 and 7, 2025. Mark your calendars and prepare for an exhilarating journey through some of the most beautiful music ever composed!

Fundraisers with Flair
OSV is also hosting a series of lively fundraising events to keep the music playing and support its educational programs. On December 14, 2024, get ready for a Fashion Show fundraiser at Di Vino Dante restaurant at 2 pm. For a blast from the past, don your poodle skirt and dance the night away at the February 2, 2025 Sock Hop. And don’t miss the colorful Mardi Gras party on March 1, 2025, sure to be a night of festive fun!

Empowering Young Musicians: Sofia and Isabella’s Journeys
Your support has made it possible for young talents like Sofia and Isabella to thrive. Sofia, a dedicated bassist, attended an intensive music training program in Morelia this summer, thanks to generous donations. “During this course, I learned a lot and had a lot of fun! I worked on posture, balance, and new techniques. It was my first face-to-face double bass class in two years, which helped me immensely,” Sofia shared.

Isabella, who began her musical journey with OSV at age 12, is now taking her passion to new heights as she starts college in Guadalajara. “Thank you so much for everything you taught me. They were years of lots of learning and beautiful moments. This isn’t goodbye – it’s a see you later!” she wrote.
