Puerto Vallarta, Jalisco, Mexico – The heart of Puerto Vallarta’s Romantic Zone is set to glow once again as the popular Southside Shuffle returns for its 2025-2026 season. Starting on Friday, November 21, 2025, and continuing every other Friday from 6:00 to 10:00 pm through April 17, 2026, the area’s main shopping street, Basilio Badillo, transforms into the city’s unique, ongoing bi-weekly celebration.
This festive event offers a perfect blend of culture, engaging social activity, and live music, creating an ideal setting for both residents and visitors to connect. Known for over three decades as one of Vallarta’s premier shopping destinations, the Romantic Zone is home to numerous galleries, boutiques, and shops featuring everything from exquisite fine art and authentic Mexican pottery to unique jewelry and resort wear. The Southside Shuffle provides an excellent reason to explore these offerings while mingling.
The neighborhood, always a hive of activity, becomes a true sensory delight during the Shuffle. Approximately 22 participating businesses open their doors, inviting “Shufflers” inside with complimentary refreshments and a welcoming atmosphere perfect for browsing. As you wander through the neighborhood, you’ll encounter friends, neighbors, and talented musicians from the Banderas Bay area playing lively tunes that often inspire impromptu street dancing.
While the Southside Shuffle features many prominent art venues, such as the expansive Galleria Dante, it is intentionally not an Art Walk; rather, it’s a shopping and social street party. Nevertheless, galleries along the route will showcase diverse works by various artists throughout the season.
The event ensures a comfortable and carefree experience, as the Romantic Zone is well-known for being safe to walk at night. Participants can easily pause their shopping adventure for a bite to eat, a refreshing cocktail, or simply to enjoy conversation and the music.
