Puerto Vallarta, Mexico – For the first time, Mexico will host the Whistler – Riviera Nayarit Gran Fondo, one of the country’s most significant road cycling events. On April 5, 2025, nearly 1,000 cyclists from around the world will gather in Bahía de Banderas to take on a challenging course through breathtaking landscapes.
These athletes, encompassing seasoned professionals and passionate cycling devotees, will navigate breathtaking scenery in a test of endurance and skill.
Originating in Canada, the Gran Fondo has earned a reputation as a top-tier road cycling event, drawing elite athletes and cycling enthusiasts alike. Now, with its arrival in Mexico, the event promises an unforgettable experience that blends sport with the natural beauty of Banderas Bay, a region known for its welcoming atmosphere and excellent cycling routes.
“We are very excited to bring the Gran Fondo to Mexico for the first time. Banderas Bay is the perfect setting for an event of this magnitude,” said the event organizers.
Participants will have the opportunity to tackle one of two inspiring courses, each showcasing the stunning natural beauty and cultural richness of Nayarit:
