Rainbow Race Returns to Puerto Vallarta in November

Puerto Vallarta, Mexico – The second edition of the Rainbow Race, known for its celebration of diversity and inclusion, will be held in Puerto Vallarta on Sunday, November 10th, 2024. The event’s motto is “Be free, express yourself with love.”

During a press conference held on June 27 at Pinnacle Resorts, Carlos Miyagi Munguía, the sports manager of the race, highlighted that this second edition strengthens its position as the most diverse recreational sports event in the region.

¨It aims to bring people together to celebrate sexual diversity, respect for human rights, and free expression while promoting active and healthy lifestyles. The goal for this year is to have 1,300 registered participants and over 200 volunteers,¨ he said.

The race offers various categories for runners, joggers, and walkers of all genders (women’s free, men’s free, and non-binary free) over 18, with distances of 2 kilometers and 5 kilometers. The start and finish line will be located at the esplanade of the Agustín Flores Contreras Sports Unit (Municipal Stadium).

The Rainbow Race is a collaborative effort between civil society organizations and institutions like the Mexican Sports Federation of Diversity, the National LGBTQ+ Sports Association, Vallarta Pride, and local government bodies. This year´s event will, once again, benefit various non-profit organizations that promote a fairer, more open, diverse and free society.

Registration is now open for $380 on the race website or via WhatsApp at 322-146-3642.
