Puerto Vallarta Infrastructure Upgrades to Boost Connectivity

Puerto Vallarta, Jalisco, Mexico – Jalisco Governor Pablo Lemus recently revealed plans for significant adjustments to the Las Juntas Node, which will seamlessly connect with the new Jala-Puerto Vallarta highway that’s set to open in December. These changes are designed to improve traffic flow and enhance access to Gustavo Díaz Ordaz International Airport, making travel more efficient for both locals and visitors.

The announcement came during a presentation of eight new flights being added by Viva Aerobus at the Guadalajara International Airport. Governor Lemus noted that the road adjustments at Las Juntas would also extend to the Chapala highway, ensuring better traffic flow toward the Miguel Hidalgo International Airport in the state capital.

“We are very proud of the Puerto Vallarta International Airport; the second terminal is looking extraordinary,” said Lemus. “We’re working with Raúl on adjustments to the Chapala highway and the modifications to the Las Juntas Node to integrate it with the new bypass from Bucerías to the international airport, which is opening in December,” he added.

Raúl Revuelta Musalem, Director of the Pacific Airport Group (GAP), shared exciting news of a 5 billion peso investment in Puerto Vallarta’s new terminal. This is in addition to a 20 billion peso investment plan aimed at improving the airport’s infrastructure.

These upgrades add to the nearly 8 billion pesos invested in the Puerto Vallarta International airport and 16 billion pesos in Guadalajara’s over the past five years, reflecting a strong commitment to enhancing the state’s transportation network and supporting its position as a premier destination for tourism and business.
