This popularity isn’t just a U.S. phenomenon. Canadian travelers are also feeling the pull of Puerto Vallarta’s charm. Airbnb reports a surge in searches for travel over Valentine’s Day, with solo trips up over 100 percent, couples’ getaways up 50 percent, and even group trips (three or more travelers) increasing by more than 25 percent. Canadians, eager to trade winter chills for sunny shores, are prioritizing beach vacations, and Puerto Vallarta sits at the very top of their list, along with Spain and Costa Rica.
