This special event will bring together over 20 former Guadalajara soccer stars for a series of sports and social activities in a family-friendly setting.
Led by Joel “El Tiburón” Sánchez, the tour will feature well-known players such as Néstor “Avion” Calderón, Héctor “El Pirata” Castro, Carlos Salcido, Juan Pablo Alfaro, Jonny Magallón, Sergio Rodríguez Muñoz, Gustavo Nápoles, and Héctor Reynoso. Their presence promises to make this an unforgettable experience for local fans and aspiring young athletes alike.
The action begins on Saturday, April 5, at 3:00 pm with a screening of the film “Chivas” at the La Lija Sports Complex. A conference with the players follows at 5:00 pm, providing an opportunity for fans to hear insights from the legends themselves. At 7:00 pm, attendees can enjoy a live broadcast of the Liga MX match between Chivas and Monterrey.
Sunday, April 6, will focus on youth development, with a sports clinic for 80 children at the Demetrio Madero soccer field at SEAPAL Vallarta. The highlight of the day will be the much-anticipated Guadalajara Legends vs. Puerto Vallarta Legends match at 4:00 pm, featuring a ceremonial kickoff by Mayor Luis Munguía.
Mayor Munguía emphasized the significance of this event, marking the first collaboration between his administration and the Jalisco State Entertainment Agency. He expressed enthusiasm for the initiative, which reinforces the municipal government’s dedication to promoting sports and strengthening community ties.
During the press conference, key figures such as Magaly Fregoso, general coordinator of advisors and project manager; Councilwoman Erika García Rubio; Community Building Manager Ramón Chávez; and William Arredondo Camacho, general director of COMUDE Puerto Vallarta, also shared their support for the event.
