Puerto Vallarta, Jalisco, Mexico – In a recent display of collaborative governance, Jalisco Governor Pablo Lemus commended Puerto Vallarta Mayor Luis Munguía for his dedication to impactful city projects. This recognition followed the joint inauguration of Francisco Murguía Street, a significant roadway adjacent to The Home Depot, designed to alleviate local traffic challenges.
Governor Lemus remarked that this project complements ongoing city initiatives aimed at optimizing resident movement. Mayor Munguía underscored the street’s power to bring significant positive change, noting its design to boost mobility, strengthen safety measures, and improve the overall well-being of both locals and visitors.
The new two-lane thoroughfare allows for a more fluid and quicker flow of local traffic while also providing easier access for cargo trucks arriving from various cities and states. This 18 million peso investment directly benefits over 56,800 individuals, ensuring safer passage through the area. The project’s comprehensive scope includes modern lighting, street amenities, landscaped planters, clear signage, and upgraded water and sewage systems.
Further bolstering Puerto Vallarta’s infrastructure, Governor Lemus and Mayor Munguía conducted a site inspection of the Las Juntas Interchange Bridge construction last Thursday. Mayor Munguía acknowledged the project’s pivotal role in the city’s progress and expressed gratitude for upcoming collaborative ventures involving state, municipal, and federal support. These include the commencement of a pier in Mismaloya and the completion of feasibility studies for the Uruguay Street pier, which will improve maritime connectivity in the city.
Looking forward, the city anticipates the arrival of 67 new air-conditioned buses within five weeks, with additional public transportation vehicles slated for the Francisco Medina Ascencio corridor in late November and early December.
These developments underscore Puerto Vallarta’s commitment to sustained growth.
