Puerto Vallarta, Mexico – Las Juntas is beaming! Children and families recently gathered with smiles and applause to celebrate the grand opening of “Tukilandia,” a beautifully renovated park that has brought a fresh burst of color and life to the neighborhood.
Located on Hidalgo Street, this exciting new recreational area is part of a larger initiative by the Luis Munguía administration to reclaim and revitalize public spaces throughout the municipality. This new addition to Las Juntas joins the recently opened Tukilandia Park in the Jardines del Puerto neighborhood.
Mayor Luis Munguía highlighted the importance of these spaces, emphasizing their role in fostering community spirit and encouraging outdoor activities. “We won’t stop until all of Puerto Vallarta’s public spaces are restored,” he affirmed, adding, “Today it’s Las Juntas’ turn, and we have three more coming soon in Los Sauces, Palmar del Progreso, and Vista Hermosa.”
The community’s appreciation was clearly visible during the inauguration. Perla Rodríguez, a local resident, expressed her gratitude for the efforts that have brought the park back to life, noting that it’s now a welcoming and respectable place for everyone. Young Jimena, bubbling with excitement, also shared her thanks, delighted by the park’s beauty and the joy it brings.
