San Esteban and Villa de Guadalupe Welcome Tukilandia & Casa Tucán

Puerto Vallarta, Jalisco, Mexico – A wave of excitement swept through the neighborhoods of San Esteban and Villa de Guadalupe as they celebrated the grand opening of the Tukilandia park and the new Casa Tucán. These impressive new community spaces, located on Japón Street, were championed by the Luis Munguía administration and are set to offer fun and essential services for all residents.

The site, once forgotten, has been completely transformed and now shines as a gathering spot for children and families. Cheers and beaming smiles filled the air as residents and local leaders celebrated the successful revitalization of this area, which is poised to become a vital meeting point for the community.

Mayor Luis Munguía shared his enthusiasm, noting that this is the fifth Tukilandia park to open, with more locations planned across the city. “Our children deserve this new moment where we rescue and illuminate spaces so they can enjoy playgrounds. We are happy to see their smiles and to be able to keep our promise, because we are committed to continue working,” he told neighbors during the ribbon-cutting ceremony.

Patricia Valdés, a teacher and the president of the San Esteban Neighborhood Committee, spoke on behalf of both communities, expressing deep gratitude for the municipal support. “We are infinitely thankful for what you are doing for the neighborhoods of our Puerto Vallarta,” she said with heartfelt emotion.

For those who live in the area, this restoration brings not only recreational space but also a sense of greater security and more opportunities for community togetherness.

In addition to the park, Casa Tucán will serve as a hub, offering workshops, training, counseling, and various services designed to support local families. This means San Esteban and Villa de Guadalupe are gaining more than just a place for kids to play – they are gaining a place that actively strengthens community life.

Before the ceremonial ribbon cutting, Munguía concluded with an inspiring thought. “When you see something moving forward, you regain confidence. We continue making history because Vallarta deserves more.”

The opening of Tukilandia and Casa Tucán marks more than the recovery of public space – it represents a renewed sense of pride for San Esteban and Villa de Guadalupe. With safe recreation, family support, and opportunities for growth, these neighborhoods now look ahead to a brighter future together.
