Puerto Vallarta, Jalisco, Mexico – Thousands of residents and visitors gathered along the Puerto Vallarta Malecón to welcome 2026 with a sophisticated display of technology and sound. Organized through a collaboration between the state government under Pablo Lemus and the local administration led by Luis Munguía, the “New Year’s Eve Jalisco Style” event transformed the oceanfront promenade into a massive celebration of community and hope.
The evening’s festivities began with the traditional sounds of Mariachi Internacional CHG, followed by the energetic rhythms of Zona Kumbia. These performances built a sense of excitement as the crowd grew, filling the air with music long before the final seconds of the year ticked away.
In the moments leading up to the transition, Mayor Luis Munguía addressed the audience, offering a warm welcome to international visitors and sharing a vision of prosperity, health, and continued development for the region in the coming year.
As the clock struck midnight, the focus shifted from the stage to the skies. A synchronized drone show took flight, painting the night sky with glowing symbols and patterns that heralded the arrival of 2026. Accompanied by a professional fireworks display, the high-tech choreography drew cheers and applause from the thousands of spectators who embraced as they welcomed the New Year.
The energy reached a new peak shortly after the countdown when the French electronic duo, The Blaze, took the stage for an international DJ set. Their performance kept the audience dancing by the sea well into the early hours of the morning, blending modern beats with the natural beauty of the coast.
This seamless transition from traditional Mexican music to global electronic sounds reinforced Puerto Vallarta’s reputation as a world-class destination capable of hosting truly unique and memorable celebrations.
