Restaurant Week Returns to Puerto Vallarta and Riviera Nayarit

Puerto Vallarta, Mexico – The culinary community of Puerto Vallarta and Riviera Nayarit is preparing for the 22nd edition of Restaurant Week, a long-standing tradition that highlights the diverse flavors of Banderas Bay. Since its inception in 2005, this event has served as a key platform for both residents and visitors to explore the best of regional cuisine.

This year, 51 restaurants are participating, matching last year’s turnout and demonstrating the steady growth of the local dining industry. During a recent announcement at Mesón Ibérico in Marina Vallarta, organizers Juan Pablo Hernández and Jorge Chávez and the secretary of Tourism for the State of Jalisco, Michelle Fridman, shared that the festival will run from May 15th through June 10th.

The primary goal of the event is to make high-quality dining more accessible. To achieve this, participating establishments offer special three-course menus at fixed price points of $495, $575, and $690 pesos. These rates, which exclude drinks and gratuities, provide a predictable way for diners to experience premium culinary offerings across the region.

The selection of restaurants this year represents a wide range of styles, from long-time favorites like Barcelona Tapas and Café Des Artistes to newcomers such as Mesón Ibérico.

The Puerto Vallarta and Riviera Nayarit tourism boards continue to support the initiative, recognizing that gastronomy is a major draw for the area. By showcasing local talent and fresh ingredients, Restaurant Week helps strengthen the regional economy while promoting the destination to a global audience.

“Gastronomy is one of the strongest pillars of tourism promotion in Jalisco. In Puerto Vallarta, this richness manifests in an offering that fuses tradition and the avant-garde, becoming a driver of attraction for travelers from around the world. Events like Restaurant Week are fundamental, as they not only celebrate our culinary talent and local products but also democratize fine dining, strengthening the regional economy and consolidating the destination as an indisputable gastronomic leader,” commented Michelle Fridman.
