Hook the Cure Goes Virtual in 2020

Puerto Vallarta, Jalisco, Mexico – In 2020, fundraising events look a little bit different from the way they used to. Ok maybe quite a bit different. Hook the Cure powered by IOTEC is no exception.

This year’s 15th annual outing, usually held at Villa Premiere Boutique Hotel in Puerto Vallarta, will be held virtually this November.

Hook the Cure powered by IOTEC has raised nearly $7 million USD for the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, the world’s leader in the search for a cure for cystic fibrosis.

The Foundation funds more CF research than any other organization, and nearly every CF drug available today was made possible because of Foundation support.

Hook the Cure features a weekend of world-class fishing, challenging golf at Vista Vallarta Club de Golf, relaxing spa packages, celebrities and all-inclusive accommodations.

This year’s reimagined virtual event, to be held in the comfort of your home, will feature an online auction, Chairmen’s welcome, celebrity appearances, Bid for a Cure and a special performance by Nashville Recording Artist, Lucas Hoge.

Everyone is invited to tune-in to the free broadcast. Email ggreen(at)cff.org for the link.

Chairpersons Bob Huston and Jeff Jennison look forward to returning to Puerto Vallarta in-person November 4-7, 2021.

Hook the Cure event sponsors include IOTEC, BJ’s Restaurants, Watson Land Company, The Kirby Family, The Huston Family, William Martin Jr. Family, American Airlines, O’Connell Family Foundation Trust, Hunter Landscape, Ron & Ann Hallagan, Norm Wilson & Sons, Inc., and Millie & Severson.
