Puerto Vallarta, Mexico – The weather in Puerto Vallarta, on Mexico’s Pacific Coast, isn’t the only thing that’s hot this snowy Valentine’s Day weekend. After the month-long shutdown of live entertainment venues mandated by the Jalisco State government, The Palm Cabaret is set to reopen on February 13, with three sizzling new shows opening this weekend.
Vallarta’s own Sol Rose in “I Wanna Be Around”
Opens Saturday, February 13 at 5:00 pm
Join Vallarta and Broadway favorite, Sol Rose, on a musical journey featuring the music of Tony Bennett… as only Sol can with his Las Vegas flair, dance, and story telling! After the show, walk across the street to continue the party with Sol, who will be offering after-show dinner specials at his open-air restaurant, Café Bohemia. “I Wanna Be Around,” will be playing every Saturday at 5:00 pm until March 13th at The Palm Cabaret.
The Boy Band Project – Old School Edition

The Palm is proud to present the NYC-based “Boy Band Project” – a rotating roster of four sizzling stars from Altar Boyz and other top Broadway and Off-Broadway musicals, covering the greatest hits of such popular guy groups as NSYNC, Backstreet Boys, Hanson, One Direction, 98 Degrees, O-Town, Boyz II Men, Jonas Brothers, and more.
The current line-up, which will be filmed live in concert from The Palm Cabaret, features Jesse Corbin, Chris Messina, Nic Metcalf, and founder Travis Nesbitt in a fully choreographed show that reimagines the harmonies, moves, sex appeal, and energy of the originals, with extra spice that will make you scream “Be Mine” – online!
A favorite of NYC fans for their popular Boy Band Brunch – a weekly event at The Green Room 42 that earned them the 2019 Broadway World Cabaret Award for Best Group – The Boys garnered a well-deserved eight nominations in the recent 2020 BWW Awards, winning two for Best Original Song (for their holiday bop “Jingle My Bells”) and Best Ensemble Soloist for “Messina”. So get ready to “embrace your inner superfan” and live out your “boy band fantasy” with this steaming streaming event.
The Boy Band Project streams on Saturday, February 13, at 8:00 pm, on both The BBP and The Palm Facebook pages. Tickets are free, but you can tip the band and donate to the venue during the show, through Venmo @theboybandproject and paypal.me/thepalmcabaret.
The Boy Band Project will continue to perform the best boy band hits from the 60s, 70s, and 80s, every Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday at 8:00 pm through February 27, live at The Palm Cabaret.

The Dueling Drag Divas – Emmy Award Winner Chi Chi Rones and New York Times Acclaimed Impressionist Jo Anna are slated to FINALLY OPEN at The Palm Cabaret and Bar with their ALL NEW – All Live Singing! Comedy Drag Show!
After having to postpone their show (due to the shutdown here in Vallarta) 3 times this season… The Dynamic Duo will perform Wednesdays and Sundays at 8:00 pm beginning this Sunday, February 14th – Valentine’s Day! Singing hysterical spoofs of Cher, Tina Turner, Dolly Parton, Andrea Bocelli (In Italian), Elvis Presley, Amy Winehouse, Judy Garland, Billie Holiday and more!
Jo Anna (aka Joe Perry) is celebrating her 15th season and reigns as the LONGEST RUNNING SINGING Drag Queen in Puerto Vallarta! Starting out in NYC, Jo Anna has won numerous awards including Best Patsy Cline Singer at New York’s Cowgirl Hall of Fame. The New York Times hails her as “One of the Best”. In addition to PV, Jo Anna has enjoyed 5 smash seasons in Provincetown and currently 10 fabulous summer seasons in Ogunquit, Maine.
Emmy Award Winner Chi Chi Rones is excited to be back at The Palm where she began performing 10 years ago! Chi Chi’s soaring vocal range lends to the iconic voices of the great legends she impersonates such as Edith Piaf, Tina Turner, Judy Garland, Janis Joplin, Barbra Streisand and Andrea Bocelli which must be seen and heard to be believed.
Chi Chi won a 2007 Daytime Emmy Award writing for PBS’ Jakers! The Adventures of Piggley Winks! She has toured extensively throughout the USA and around the globe, with some of her favorite destinations – Spain, UK and Scotland as well as entertaining on the high seas from the Mediterranean to the Caribbean on cruise ships and River Boats through the Danube with Brand G Vacations.
In addition to their winter seasons in Puerto Vallarta, the Dueling Drag Divas continue their 8th season in 2021 at their summer residence at Mainestreet in Ogunquit, Maine.

A note from The Palm Cabaret management: You can rest assured that The Palm Cabaret has adopted new measures to protect your safety during this uncertain time. We have installed a new retractable roof for air flow, and have installed a new filter air system to take old air out and bring fresh air in. Our customers are protected by Plexiglas shields in front and on the sides of their personal seating area, and we’ve limited our capacity to 60 people (not 130) per show. Masks must be worn to your seats and to the rest rooms. Masks may be removed upon entering your Plexiglas area.
