Puerto Vallarta, Mexico – Alaska Airlines will launch a new route between Las Vegas, Nevada and Puerto Vallarta, Mexico beginning on December 14 of this year and running through April 9, 2024, according to the Puerto Vallarta Tourism Board.
The route will operate 4 times a week on a 76-seat Embraer E175 aircraft featuring a First Class cabin, a Premium Economy cabin with extra legroom and a Standard Economy cabin. With this new operation, 1,216 seats per month will be added to the Puerto Vallarta metropolitan region.
“This route will allow us to extend the offer of seats, as well as have new connection options for all those who visit us from the United States, the number one international issuing market for this destination, who will undoubtedly enjoy the warmth and hospitality that characterizes our port,” commented Luis Antonio Villaseñor Nolasco, director of the Public Trust for Tourism Promotion and Advertising of the Municipality of Puerto Vallarta.
He said that so far in 2023, Puerto Vallarta has obtained excellent results in terms of air traffic, since figures from Grupo Aeroportuario del Pacífico (GAP) show that the Puerto Vallarta International Airport registered more than 3.1 million passengers from January to May, a growth of 20.4% compared to the same period last year.
“Puerto Vallarta continues to position itself as one of the best sun and beach destinations in the country, and the main one in the state of Jalisco, which is why national and foreign visitors continue to keep it in the top of mind on their next trips thanks to its romance, gastronomy, LGBTQ+, ecotourism, luxury and other tourism options,” he added.
