UPCOMING EVENTS

GARAGE SALE: Saturday, April 5th is the Big Sale! Doors open at 9:00 am. The donations have been pouring in so we have a lot of good stuff at great prices! Clothing, all kinds of electronics and kitchen ware, beach chairs, books, shoes, handbags, sewing machine and much more! Proceeds will go a long way to support the kitties at the shelter in the coming months.
SATURDAY MARKET: We’ll be at our table just outside Daiquiri Dick’s every Saturday morning in April from 10:00 to 1:00 (except April 5th when we have the Garage Sale!). Our logo T-shirts in both men’s & women’s sizes of many colors are very popular. Plus we’ll have our logo caps, mugs, drink holders and Kitty Kitchen Towels. 100% of proceeds go to the PuRR shelter.
KITTY BINGO: Mark your PuRR calendar for the 2nd and 30th of April to join us at Nacho Daddy for more Kitty BINGO fun! Games start at 4:00 and we’ve still got LOTS of terrific prizes for winners who get a BINGO and yell “MEOW”! Plus there’s the 50/50 Raffle and special food & drink prices for players. (Nacho Daddy is closed for Semana Santa so we will not be there on April 16.)
THE PURR NURSERY
March saw only 14 cats abandoned at the shelter including another 3 that were about 2 days old and had to go to a foster for bottle feeding. Fortunately, we had a great month for adoptions with 8 at PetCo and 6 at the shelter! That included all six of the “D” kittens that were only 1-day old when abandoned in December. Don’t forget that we bring kittens to the PetCo Adoption Center every Saturday and Sunday and that is still the best way to meet your new best Furry Friend.

FEATURED FELINE: MAYA
Rescued off the streets of Vallarta in August of 2023, her clipped ear indicated she was possibly spayed at a free clinic and then released back to the street. We named her MAYA and Dra. Eva estimated her to be about 2 years old at the time. She is super friendly and we feel she would make a great companion for someone who does not want a kitten! So we have kept her safe in a casita for older kitties in hopes that a Forever Home is in her future. Contact Bama at adopt@purrproject.com for more information if you would like to meet her.
