Puerto Vallarta, Jalisco, Mexico – The Bella Vox Performing Arts Foundation, a US nonprofit dedicated to promoting high-quality musical education and productions, is making its official Puerto Vallarta debut with an exciting inaugural season.
Founded in 2024 by Puerto Vallarta resident David Sabella, the US-based nonprofit (501c3) is dedicated to bringing high-quality vocal and performing arts productions and training to underserved communities in the US, Mexico, and Canada. While Bella Vox has already produced concerts and workshops in New York City and Chicago, this season marks its official debut in Puerto Vallarta.
This stellar season features a range of performances and valuable educational workshops at The Palm Cabaret, creating opportunities for both local audiences and performers.
Broadway Icons Take the Stage
The schedule is packed with major names from the performing arts world:
• Karen Mason: Broadway Legend & Artist Ambassador kicks off the season on December 29, 2025, and January 4, 2026. The Grammy-nominated artist presents Karen Mason: Broadway Baby!, following her acclaimed shows last year.
• Stephanie Pope: Fosse Dancer & Broadway Star brings All About Love on January 14 and 18, featuring songs from Broadway and pop hits, along with stories from her career working with icons like Bob Fosse and Chita Rivera.
• Marieann Meringolo: Award-Winning Vocalist celebrates Valentine’s week with her show, Shades of Love, on February 11 and 15, reimagining classic songs by artists like Joni Mitchell and Billy Joel.
• Sam Harris: Top 100 Vocalist & Broadway Icon takes the stage on March 26 and 29 with Beyond the Rainbow, showcasing his powerful, distinctive interpretations of pop and standards.
Emerging and Acclaimed Artists
The foundation’s commitment to diverse talent is evident in other season highlights:
• Ava Nicole Frances: American Idol Alum makes her Puerto Vallarta debut on January 23 as part of the Bella Vox Emerging Stars Series with her show, The Dream That I See.
• David Friedman: Disney & Broadway Composer/Conductor presents Puerto Vallarta Sings David Friedman on March 15, featuring local performers singing his celebrated songs of hope and inspiration.
Educational Outreach for Local Talent
A key mission of the Bella Vox Foundation is training and supporting emerging artists. They are offering several masterclasses and workshops for local PV talent on a “pay what you can” basis, ensuring no performer is turned away.
• Broadway Masterclass with Karen Mason and Music Director Christopher Denny.
• Musical Theater Dance Class with Broadway’s Stephanie Pope.
• Metaphysics & Music Workshop (March 9-14) led by composer and author David Friedman, focused on combining intense musical coaching with transformational life-coaching.
• Weekly Group Classes in Vocal Technique, Performance, Acting, and Scene Study will be offered by President/CEO David Sabella throughout the season.
The Bella Vox Performing Arts Foundation, led by Sabella and Chief Operating and Development Officer Sally Ruecking, is a US 501c3 nonprofit and relies on contributions to support its mission of creating performance and educational opportunities across the US, Mexico, and Canada. The foundation’s Artist Ambassadors and Board Members include PV residents Brent Barrett and Bianca Marroquin.
