Bucerías, Nayarit – Get ready to set sail for a day of excitement and giving back as the John Ozzello Memorial Food Bank hosts its 12th Annual Whale Watching Fundraiser. For just $1500 pesos, attendees can enjoy a full day on Banderas Bay, experience the thrill of whale watching and support a worthy cause.
The adventure begins at 9:00 am on Wednesday, February 7, 2024, as the boat departs from La Cruz Marina. Anticipated to return around 3:00 pm, participants will be treated to a six-hour journey on the bay, complete with whale watching, swimming and snorkeling, Continental Breakfast, lunch and an open bar.
Adding an element of surprise and anticipation, the on-board raffle promises a chance to win fabulous prizes, making this year’s event even more special. The success of past fundraisers has set the bar high, with organizers aiming to offer a diverse and exciting array of rewards.
As a special highlight, The Availables, a local band known for their captivating performances, will be on board to provide a soundtrack for the day. Their music promises to enhance the overall experience, making this fundraiser an event to remember.
Established in 2009 by John Ozzello, then President of Amigos de Bucerías, the John Ozzello Memorial Food Bank operates as a registered non-profit (A.C.) in Mexico. The organization’s mission is to provide monthly despensas, including essential food items, as well as emergency relief to those in need in Bahía de Banderas and surrounding areas.
