La Cruz de Huanacaxtle, Nayarit – Luna Rumba Productions is very excited to announce that Geo Uhrich will be performing with the incomparable Julio Cabrera for select shows around Nayarit and the Banderas Bay area. Join Julio & Geo on Sunday, March 6th at 7 pm at The Tree House Bar & Grill for an evening of pure musical magic!
For those not familiar with Mr. Cabrera, you are in for a real treat. His powerful voice and amazing guitar playing are complimented beautifully by Geo’s interpretive violin. Unrehearsed, they expertly weave the music together… following each other as melody and rhythm seem to miraculously come together in the moment. This is music art in its purest form.
Julio’s blindness seems to accentuate his sense of hearing and dynamics and Geo usually closes his eyes to help him “feel” his way through Julio’s renditions of Spanish, Mexican, Cuban and his original compositions (Geo’s favorite).
The two found each other through mutual friends who suggested that the two try performing together – a big thank you to Keith and Susan for bringing these two talents together. Plans are now in the works for them to make a recording of Julio’s original songs.
