Puerto Vallarta Sails Into a Busy December Cruise Season

Puerto Vallarta’s maritime terminal is gearing up for a bustling close to 2025, with 26 international cruise ships scheduled to dock throughout December. The excitement began right at the start of the month, with the Norwegian Jade’s arrival on Tuesday, December 2nd, kicking off a full calendar of cruise ship activity.

The sheer volume of arrivals this December is remarkable. The schedule features six days with double arrivals and two days with triple arrivals, ensuring a continuous flow of visitors.

The days slated for double dockings are December 3, 9, 10, 17, 23, and 30. On the 3rd and 10th, the majestic Royal Princess and the Norwegian Bliss will share the port. The Norwegian Bliss will return on the 17th alongside the MS Vista. Later in the month, December 30th will welcome back the Nieuw Amsterdam and the Norwegian Jade. The Carnival Panorama will stop twice this month, arriving on December 9 and 23, both times alongside the Norwegian Jade.

A highlight of the schedule includes two very busy days. The first triple docking is set for Thursday, December 11th, bringing the Island Princess, Emerald Princess, and the Royal Princess, which will arrive a day early and stay overnight, allowing passengers more time to explore.

The holiday season will be especially festive, with the second triple arrival occurring on Wednesday, December 24th. That day, the Royal Princess, MS Vista, and Norwegian Bliss will all arrive, creating an exciting spectacle and generating a substantial economic impact for local businesses and tourism service providers in Puerto Vallarta.

In addition to the multi-ship days, numerous single arrivals are contributing to the packed schedule. Following the Norwegian Jade’s initial call, the Nieuw Amsterdam will arrive on the 5th and 12th, the Aidadiva on the 13th, the Zaandam on the 14th, the Seabourn Encore on the 19th, and the Navigator of the Seas on the 26th.

The Royal Princess will have the honor of concluding the month, and a highly successful year for the nautical visitor segment, with its arrival on December 31st. This busy month confirms Puerto Vallarta’s status as a premier destination in the Pacific, eagerly welcoming thousands of guests to enjoy its sunny shores and warm hospitality.
