Puerto Vallarta’s Movie + Picnic outdoor cinema is back, inviting residents and visitors to enjoy another season of cinematic magic under the night sky. Now in its eleventh year, this family-friendly event offers a unique, nostalgic experience that transforms an ordinary evening into an unforgettable community gathering.
The event lights up the Jardín de Luna at the Puerto de Luna Hotel, creating a beautiful open-air theater. Screenings take place every Thursday, select Saturdays, and the first Friday of each month, running from November through May. Attendees can settle in comfortably with seating options, including mats, puffs, chairs, lounge chairs, and blankets, all available for rent.
This season promises a rich and varied film schedule, featuring a mix of family-friendly favorites and acclaimed blockbusters, ensuring there is something for every taste. The majority of films are presented in English, though Spanish language versions are shown for children’s movies and the Mexican films screened on the first Friday of the month.
Adding to the welcoming atmosphere, Movie + Picnic is completely pet-friendly, allowing dog owners to bring their furry friends along to share the fun. Moviegoers have several options for refreshments: they can enjoy tasty snacks and refreshing drinks from the on-site concession stand, explore the nearby Food Park PV, or bring their own refreshments.
With general admission priced at just $70 pesos, Movie + Picnic remains an affordable and accessible option for a fantastic night out. The box office opens at 6:30 pm, and doors open shortly after at 7:00 pm. It’s the perfect way to experience the charm and pleasant warmth of a Puerto Vallarta evening.
