Puerto Vallarta, México – Galleria Dante will take part in February’s South Side Shuffle with special Meet the Artists Nights on February 6 and 20, from 6 to 9 pm, in the heart of Puerto Vallarta’s Romantic Zone. These bi-weekly evenings invite visitors to explore art spaces while enjoying a relaxed, walkable cultural experience.
During this week’s event at Galleria Dante, several artists will be creating new works on site, giving guests the opportunity to watch the creative process unfold. Featured live painter Antonio Bárcena brings international recognition to the evening. Known for his colorful compositions and messages of peace and love, Bárcena has exhibited in major venues such as Mexico City’s Clavijero Palace and international galleries in the U.S. His work has also earned nominations at Dubai’s Global Art Awards.
Joining Bárcena with live painting are Jean Jacques Hudon and Romeo de la Cruz, while sculptor Gustavo Lopez will work on pieces throughout the night. Additional artists in attendance include Julia Swann, Richard Gibbons, Louie Pisterzi, Marcia Coppel, Jean Gabriel Lambert, Cherie Sibley, Bill Megrail, Ana Tatya Neri, Gerald Gallant, Luc Gauthier, and Munroe. New arrivals on display feature works by Juan Carlos Navarro, Yvan Genest, Mo, Ricardo Sanchez, Donna and Tom Dickson, and others.
Guests are encouraged to speak directly with the artists, ask questions, and gain insight into their techniques and inspirations while enjoying the lively atmosphere of the South Side Shuffle.
Galleria Dante has been a cornerstone of the Romantic Zone art scene for more than 30 years and represents over 60 artists. The family-run gallery spans multiple levels and offers art, food, and wine under one roof, with worldwide insured shipping available for collectors.
Visitors can extend their evening at Di Vino Dante, the gallery’s second-floor wine and tapas bar, which features a sculpture garden, air conditioning, elevator access, and a full lunch and dinner menu. Happy hour runs daily from 1 to 5 pm with select two-for-one cocktails. On the rooftop, Pizza Joe 2.0 continues the founder’s original recipes while introducing seasonal offerings.
