Puerto Vallarta, Mexico – In her 9th season performing in Puerto Vallarta, Sutton Lee Seymour is back with some very timely comedy in Broadway Barbie at The Palm Cabaret on Tuesdays at 8 pm and Fridays at 9:30 pm. Sutton is taking everything about Barbie and Ken and destroying it with camp, comedy theatrics and parodies. Nothing is safe from Sutton’s satirical eye! No one does musical theater parodies better than Vallarta’s darling diva of drama and song! SLS in all her glory (including impeccable makeup, hair, gorgeous dresses and stilettos) serves up another fabulous evening of hilarious camp and spectacular vocals.
With some delightful, over-the-top enthusiasm, SLS wins over her audience immediately as Broadway Barbie. She serves up her highly entertaining, self-deprecating humor through the performance to the utter delight of the crowd.
With Mark Hartman accompanying her on piano, SLS delivers some favorite tunes with very creative, sometimes naughty, sometimes nice lyrics that are always outrageously funny!
The sexy Ken Dancers are a highlight of the show as Sutton Lee Seymour flirts with them throughout the performance. Unsuspecting audience members also become part of the fun with special hijinks from this delightful Queen. And her quick comebacks trigger a lot of laughs throughout the evening.
Broadway Barbie includes an entertaining video history of Barbie and Ken as SLS serenades the audience with show-tune music with Barbie lyrics! The parodies are cleverly crafted and the vocals are top-notch. There’s even a silly little game show tucked in for fun. And when SLS delights the crowd with a slew of celebrity Barbie imitations, the evening comes to a close.
Broadway Barbie is not only entertaining, it is a reflection of Barbie’s message that a woman’s place is EVERYWHERE (not just in traditional roles)!
