Puerto Vallarta, Mexico – Since opening our doors in 1997, we have never known Puerto Vallarta to have so many of its doors closed. We are immensely proud of our community and our Tropicasa Team members (who have been working remotely since mid-March), as we have watched our city come together to social distance and do our part to slow this pandemic, joining the same efforts happening across Mexico and around the world.
However, we are very aware that as our city has shut down for all but essential services, many families in Puerto Vallarta will deeply struggle with loss of income and finding an ability to provide the necessities within their homes. Therefore, we were inspired to learn about the recently-opened Vallarta Food Bank.
The Vallarta Food Bank, a volunteer program working in conjunction with the DIF – the System for Family Development – is providing relief food packages to hundreds of families throughout our community. Each week, qualified families will receive a food package of pantry and fresh staples to be sure that the most vulnerable among us have healthy food to help sustain them through this difficult time.
Tropicasa Realty has pledged to contribute to the good work of the Vallarta Food Bank during this crisis, which will ensure that about 200 families a week will have the food that they need over the next month. We would like to encourage others in the local real estate industry to join us in our effort to support those most in need in Puerto Vallarta as we all face the challenges of this pandemic together.
And we would like to extend a heartfelt THANK YOU to the Vallarta Food Bank for providing this invaluable service and we are honored to lend our support. We wish all of Puerto Vallarta good health and thank each person for the sacrifices being made in this difficult time to help keep our town safe.
