Puerto Vallarta, Mexico – Vallarta Cares has unveiled a new GoFundMe campaign, seeking to raise $50,000 USD to sustain its essential programs through the end of 2024. This fundraising effort comes at a crucial time, as the organization aims to continue its vital work in supporting remote communities and providing emergency relief to families impacted by a natural disaster, like a hurricane or flood.
The campaign will fund key initiatives, including an emergency preparedness program for often-overlooked towns, the Vallarta Cares soup kitchen, food pantry, emergency brigades, disaster relief efforts, and access to healthcare, dental care, and clean drinking water to countless families in Puerto Vallarta.
Beyond disaster relief and sustenance, Vallarta Cares is committed to empowering community members through educational workshops focused on self-sufficiency. By cultivating a stronger, more resilient community, the organization hopes to enrich the lives of all Vallarta residents.
As the Banderas Bay region faces the hurricane season and the economic challenges of the off-season, Vallarta Cares’ role in providing essential support becomes increasingly vital. The organization has experienced a recent shift in donor base following its transition from Vallarta Food Bank and now relies heavily on community donations to fulfill its mission.
Puerto Vallarta residents and visitors can help by donating, sharing the campaign, or volunteering their time. Every contribution counts and will help bring hope and much-needed support to those who need it most through the essential services that Vallarta Cares provides.
As the campaign launches, there is a sense of optimism and anticipation that, with collective effort, the community will come together to ensure a brighter future for all. To contribute, visit the GoFundMe page or Vallarta Cares’ website.
