Puerto Vallarta, Jalisco, Mexico – The first installation of a Christmas village which, when complete, will boast a giant Christmas tree and an ice skating rink that locals and vacationers can enjoy free of charge, will be inaugurated on the Malecón in downtown Puerto Vallarta this week, according to the municipal tourism director José Ludwin Estrada.
Several Christmas Villas are now under construction at the beginning of the Malecón, in front of the Hotel Rosita, and rumor has it that the ice skating rink will be installed near El Faro (the lighthouse on the south end of Malecón).
The opportunity to have a souvenir photo taken in the villas or in front of the Christmas tree, as well as the experience of ice skating in this tropical paradise, will be available for a month in the center of Puerto Vallarta.
In addition to these attractions, a Christmas program that will include music and a light display, is in the works. Watch for additional details as more information is made available.
The municipal tourism director encourages everyone to enjoy these attractions in a conscientious way, respecting the measures established for the prevention of Covid, such as the mandatory use of face masks, maintaining a healthy distance, avoiding crowds and frequent hand washing or use of sanitizing gel.
