Last Salty Paw Concert of the Season on Monday, July 11

Puerto Vallarta, Mexico – The Salty Paw Jazz Orchestra – Vallarta’s first and only youth jazz big band – is pleased to announce their final concert of the season in the very beautiful concert hall with SPECTACULAR ACOUSTICS, Salon Paraiso/Harkness Institute in Paradise Village, Nuevo Vallarta (aka Nuevo Nayarit, the city’s new name): on Monday, July 11, 2022 at 7:30 pm.

This concert will be Daniel Oliveros’s farewell to the Salty Paw Jazz Orchestra. Daniel Oliveros, notably the Director and Conductor of Vallarta’s Orquesta Sinfonica Vallarta (OSV and formerly named Puerto Vallarta Chamber Orchestra) has been the distinguished and hard working head of IAMPV (Instituto de Artes Musicales Puerto Vallarta) since its inception several years ago.

Favorite tunes on the program will include a mix big band standards and pop classics – Satin Doll, One Note Samba, Billie Jean, Ain’t Misbehavin’, Isn’t She Lovely, The Blues Walk, Stolen Moments, and Harlem Nocturne, to name a few. The concert will showcase the lovely, sweet voice of the beautiful Madelaine Myska.

WHERE AND WHEN: Salon Paraiso is located exactly next door to Hospital Joya in Nuevo and 2 blocks from the Paradise Village Shopping Mall (and Starbucks) at Paseo de los Cocoteros No 67, Paradise Village, Nuevo Vallarta (aka Nuevo Nayarit). Monday, July 11, 2022, 7:30 pm.

Tickets are only 100 pesos at the door. To raise needed funds, band members are selling tickets in advance for only 50 pesos …. and if you cannot make it to the concert, why not be a friend and support the group and buy one or two tickets – 2 bucks a ticket, why, that’s even less than 3 buck Chuck! IAMPV (Instituto de Artes Musicales Puerto Vallarta) is a non-profit educational music institute whose mission is to bring the joy of music to children and young adults in the greater Banderas Bay area. This is accomplished through a comprehensive program with many levels of instruction and different musical disciplines. Musical instruments are provided to beginning students.
