Puerto Vallarta’s Animal Welfare Department is hosting a free Animals and the Law workshop on July 11 and 12 to promote greater awareness and protection of animals in the city. Supported by the Luis Munguía administration, this initiative aims to equip citizens with the knowledge and tools needed to ensure the well-being of animals throughout the community.
The workshop will be held at the Preparatoria Regional de Puerto Vallarta auditorium on Friday, July 11 from 4:00 to 8:00 pm and on Saturday, July 12 from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm.
Leading the workshop is Luis Humberto Campos Rodríguez, a recognized expert in Animal Law. He will provide attendees with practical legal strategies for recognizing and reporting instances of animal abuse. Participants will gain a deeper understanding of current legal protocols and learn how to navigate complex legal situations effectively. This valuable training is designed for animal activists, members of relevant associations, and anyone passionate about animal welfare.
Roberto Ornelas, Director of Animal Welfare, highlighted the comprehensive nature of the workshop. “The workshop will cover the most recent legal updates concerning animal protection, along with the administrative, civil, and criminal responsibilities that individuals living or working with animals should understand,” Ornelas stated.
Key topics such as reporting abuse, adoption procedures, sterilization, and euthanasia will also be discussed, providing a thorough overview of animal welfare issues.
This educational opportunity has a limited capacity of 50 participants to ensure a focused learning environment. Those interested in attending can register at the Módulo de Bienestar Animal, located in Parque Lineal, or by sending a WhatsApp message to 322-102-7339.
The Puerto Vallarta Municipal Government encourages everyone to participate in this important cause, emphasizing that understanding the law is the first crucial step in preventing injustice for all creatures.
