Puerto Vallarta, Jalisco, Mexico – Mexican vocalist extraordinaire, Enrique de Allende was joined by pianist/conductor Peter Valentovic for one-show-only at The Palm Cabaret on Saturday, February 11th.
An Intimate Evening with Enrique de Allende and Worldclass Conductor/Pianist Peter Valentovic featured Enrique, accompanied on piano by Peter, serenading the audience with wonderful songs in Italian and Spanish. Peter was also featured throughout the evening with solo piano pieces.
Notwithstanding his youth, Peter Valentovic has earned acclaim on opera stages and in concert halls worldwide, mainly as a conductor yet also as a pianist accompanying celebrated singers. Following his winning of a number of international competitions, Peter launched a career as a solo pianist. At the age of 21, he first conducted an opera performance of Le nozze di Figaro, at the Universität für Musik and went on to conduct Operas across Europe.
Enrique and Peter met in Europe, 2 years ago and performed another show together this past year. Enrique praised Peter as a friend, an incredible human being and a great musician & conductor. From Slovakia, Peter recently completed a PBS special with famed Opera Star, Andrea Bocelli.
As a versatile artist, Enrique interpreted a wide range of Spanish and Italian music along with Traditional Mexican Romantic and Mariachi music throughout the performance. During the Feb 11 show, we heard breathtakingly beautiful, romantic songs, like O Sol Mio, Besame Mucho, Adoro and so many more!
Enrique is a one-in-a-million talent. Music Producer David Foster has called him “the next Julio Iglesias” and if you have the opportunity to enjoy one of his shows, you’ll understand why.
With a home base of San Miguel de Allende, Enrique comes to Vallarta to perform and he just delivered his yearly Valentine’s Day show, Romanza, at Hacienda Palo Maria, to a sold-out crowd.
Enrique also has a fundraising concert for the renovation of The Church of Our Lady of Guadalupe, Vallarta’s historic ‘Corona’ Cathedral landmark, on March 16th and is currently donating 15% of all ticket sales from his shows to this project. Stay tuned for more upcoming information on Enrique’s concert at the church.
