FEBRUARY 21 UPDATE: The final ‘Up Close and Musical’ performance by the fabulous Branden & James is this Thursday, Feb 22nd at 6 pm at The Palm. I caught their show on Tuesday and it was fantastic! Both professionally trained musicians, Branden & James entertained their grateful audience for over an hour with a wide range of superbly delivered music, good humor and fascinating stories. They were joined by their friend, Danny, on piano as they paid tribute to Chita Rivera & ‘West Side Story’, the music of Pink Martini, a little Justin Bieber, a John Lennon tune, a bit of classical music and even some rock served up with a classical twist. These boys are headed to Carnegie Hall in the Fall, along with more international concert dates & cruise ship tours. Their star continues to rise as more and more music lovers discover the enormous talent of these two spectacular entertainers. Branden & James are professionally trained musicians who have gained notoriety as first-class performers both in Puerto Vallarta and around the world. Branden’s breathtaking operatic voice is stunning and his smooth looks and smile make him an appealing entertainer. James is a classically trained master of the strings and piano, and his cello accompaniment pierces the soul most delightfully. Together their harmonies are extraordinary and their musical accompaniment is breathtaking. The energy and fervor behind their music has a story to tell of their unique pairing. Branden James had a successful career on stage and in recording before he met the Australian cellist, James Clark.
Shortly after playing their first public concert together, they began touring around the world with their original songs and innovative, classically inspired covers. They have shared the stage with legends such as Sarah McLachlan, Rita Moreno, Sally Struthers, Loretta Divine, Bruce Vilanch, Constantine Maroulis, Pia Toscano and The Pussy Cat Dolls.
Over the past few years, they have made international appearances in Australia, Dubai, Havana Cuba, Greece, Hong Kong, Italy, and Vancouver BC. Stateside, they have continued their success with debuts at The Art House in Provincetown, The Purple Room, Martini’s Above 4th, 54 Below in New York City and performing arts centers across the United States.
